Youth Bureau

love respectThe Mercer County Youth   Bureau, a branch of the Mercer County Sheriff's Offfice, is a diversion program that works with youth ages 7-17 years old who are experiencing
personal, family, school or legal issues.

Services offered through the Youth Bureau for youth and their families include individual counseling, brief family counseling, education, crisis intervention, case management and referrals services.The Mercer County Youth Bureau works closely with local school districts, law enforcement, health facilities and other youth related agencies.

The primary goal of the Youth Bureau is to provide early intervention services for youth and their families in an effort to divert youth from further legal and social difficulties.
  Referrals are received from Juvenile Court, law enforcement, school administration, Social Services, healthcare and mental health providers and parents.

Dive Team

dive vestThe mission of the Mercer County Dive Team is to assist the Mercer County Sheriff's Office with any land, water or underwater search and recovery.
 
It is our goal to achieve the highest Search and Rescue (SAR), dive standards and training possible so that we can respond professionally and safely to any situation.


Qualifications

To apply for membership with the Sheriff's Dive Team, you must:
Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a currentNorth Dakota Driver's License.
Be a certified diver with a minimum of Rescue Certification or equivalent experience.
Be able to pass a thorough background investigation.
Complete an interview.
Pass a basic swim test and underwater skill assessment.
