AT HOME; Labs are great companions with a stable temperament and adapt to new surroundings easily. They are not aggressive dogs, but can be protective and will bark to ward off strangers. Labs are gentle with children and the elderly, but keep in mind starting as pups they are generally full of energy.
IN THE FIELD; Labs are strong built with high endurance which makes them well-balanced as a retrieving gun dog, whether their hunting upland game or waterfowl.
AT WORK; Labs are one of the prime breeds for guide and search & rescue dogs.
