The Elgin Assembly of God Church
is pastored by Kevin and Tina Petersen. They have
three children, Levi (11), Ashley (9) and Jessica (8).
Having a diverse background of ministry experience, both
Pastor Kevin and Tina believe God has prepared them for
such a time as this; shepherding God's flock in Elgin and
the surrounding rural community.
Pastor Kevin and Tina, although new to the community, have both become very active in the Elgin/New Leipzig community. Pastor Kevin is currently serving as the Varsity Assisistant Football Coach for the ENL School District. Tina works part-time for Irene's Craft and Floral downtown and also volunteers her time at the ENL Elementary School one day each week. Their desire is to express God's love not only to this church but to everyone in this community as well.
The mission of our church is two-fold. First, to equip God's people for spiritual growth in Christ Jesus by the preaching and teaching of God's Holy Word. Second, to send God's people out into this world and community with the love and testimony that comes from knowing God's perfect peace and the joy of His salvation.
