John, Janel, Mark & Emily Johannes are the third generation on our farm dating back to 1928.  John's father James started farming in 1960 and developed the Polled Hereford herd since then.  John started out with one heifer when he was in grade school and has built his herd up over the years.  James has since turned most of his energy and time to Grandma's Place restaurant in Underwood, ND although he still owns cows and helps out on the farm. We have shown and sold cattle to customers throughout the Midwestern United States.

About our cattle

Our cattle are all guaranteed to be sound breeders. All the cattle have been vaccinated for IBR, BVD, PI3, & BRSV , pneumonia and 7/way-blackleg/clostriduum. We treated all the bulls with generic Ivomec pour on this past fall. Our cattle are range raised with no creep feed and fed a high roughage growing ration November through April. The coming two year old bulls were on pasture here by the buildings and were fed some ground oats during the summer with supplemental hay as the available pasture dries up.  I would be glad to visit more with you or show you our cattle.
