1 Called of God to the ministry, and who had fulfilled all the requirements fo the church for the same          
2 Has successfully completed a validated course of study prescribed for licensed ministers and candidates for ordination as elder, and          
3 Has been a district licensed minister for not less than three years, and        
4 Recommended for renewal of district license by the church board or the local church in which he or she holds membership or by the District Advisory Board, and         
5 Has been carefully considered and favorably reported by the District Ministerial Development Board of the district assembly, and elected to the order of elder by two-thirds vote of the district assembly        
6 Assigned in a ministerial position as follows:   Yes No N/A
           
  a Assigned as a minister for not less than three consecutive years either as a pastor or as a registered evangelist (spending the major portion of that time actively in the field, or      
  b The candidate must have served not less than four consecutive years as an associate pastor, or      
  c The candidate must have served one year as pastor and two consecutive years as an assigned associate pastor, or      
  d The candidate has served four years as an assigned teacher in the religion department of one of our higher education, or       
  e The candidate has served four years in a Christian ministry in such other institutions and assigned roles approved by the Board of General Superintendents,       
    * In the case of part-time associate ministers, it should be understood that there should be an extension of the consecutive years of in-service time, depending on their level of involvement in the local church ministry, and that their testimony and service demonstrate that their call is primary to all other pursuits.      
7 And, the candidate must currently be serving in a ministry position          
8 And, if candidate is newly assigned to the district, they are required one full year of ministry in position before recommendation for ordination
